If you want to pursue a global education, Showa Women’s University is the place to be.
One of the most important things for Japan is developing a young generation of leaders, men and women, who are capable of securing Japan’s place in a globalized world. There must be a new generation of Japanese through meaningful “グローバル人材育成.”
Japan’s future depends on increased trade with the rest of world in a cooperative international relations system that is built on peace. The decline in the Japanese population means that it will have to rely on increased technology and rely more on foreigners living in Japan.
That means it is important to develop university graduates who understand Japan, who can empathize with non-Japanese cultures, and speak foreign languages.
Showa Boston Institute is one of the very few American campuses of a Japanese university and it is an integral part of SWU’s global education strategy.
At SBI you will be able to improve your English while studying global issues in the premier academic city in the US. SBI courses promote active participation and engagement, and include field trips, guest speakers, as well as project-based research assignments.
You will also have many out-of-classroom experiences, exploring Boston, visiting other universities, and volunteering at both non-profit and corporate organizations. All while living in one of the most beautiful areas of Boston.
Enhancing the excellent education, you will receive at SWU by studying at SBI will help you to grow as an individual, and give you the skills necessary to be a global leader in whatever profession you choose when you graduate.

つまり、日本について知識があり、外国文化を理解し、外国語を話せる人を育成することが重要なのです。
昭和ボストンは、日本の大学の数少ないアメリカキャンパスの一つであり、昭和女子大学のグローバル教育には欠かせない存在です。
昭和ボストンでは、アメリカ屈指の学術都市でグローバルな問題を研究しながら、英語力を向上させることができるのです。昭和ボストンの少人数クラスは、学生の積極的な参加を促します。また、フィールドトリップ、ゲストスピーカー、プロジェクト学修など多様なプログラムが盛り込まれています。
ボストンの歴史を探究したり、他大学を訪問したり、非営利団体や企業でボランティア活動をしたりと、教室外でも様々な体験ができます。ボストンで最も美しい地域のひとつに住みながらです。
昭和ボストンで学ぶことによって、昭和女子大学で受ける素晴らしい教育をさらに充実させ、人として成長し、卒業後どのような職業を選んでもグローバルリーダーになるための必要なスキルを身につけることができます。
